Authenticity at Reworked Treasures

We are passionate about giving new life to pre-loved luxury items, transforming them into unique, handcrafted treasures. However, it’s important to understand our approach to authenticity, as it differs from traditional definitions.

We do not create our own logos or replicas. The logos and branded materials we use come from authentic, pre-existing products. These are often sourced from vintage items, trusted markets, or even new items from retail stores. For example, we may take an authentic pair of designer sunglasses where the glass itself is broken and carefully repurpose the logos from the frames.

That said, while the logos originate from authentic products, the reworking process means the final creations are no longer original items. For instance, if we transform an authentic Chanel button into a pair of earrings, those earrings were never an official Chanel product, even though the button itself is genuine.

Authenticity in this context is relative. Some may view our creations as an innovative way to celebrate luxury craftsmanship, while others may not see them as "authentic" due to the transformation.

We are also passionate treasure hunters and scavengers, always on the lookout for unique pieces to repurpose. Sometimes, we might discover a vintage bowl of buttons or hardware at a market. In such cases, determining authenticity relies on careful observation of details like weight, material quality, and stamped markings.

These items often do not come with boxes or receipts, which makes the process of knowing authenticity really hard. It's a blend of expertise and passion for craftsmanship.

Our commitment is to always source from reliable channels and ensure the materials we use are genuine. However ensuring 100% is impossible in certain situations - once items such as buttons have been stripped away from the cardigan, as the cardigan itself would be our source to determine the authenticity.

However after over 6 years in the industry we do not sell any items we do not believe are authentic. We also buy most of our stock from famous vintage stores that are known for being authenticators. Whether repurposed vintage finds or carefully sourced new items, each piece is designed with care and integrity to celebrate its origins while embracing a new purpose.
