About Us – The Story of Reworked Treasures

Reworked Treasures began with a spark of creativity, resilience, and a deeply personal journey. It all started in a small town in Sweden, where a young girl named Molly transformed an ordinary day into the beginning of something extraordinary.

At 19, Molly didn’t have the means to step into a Louis Vuitton store and splurge on a designer necklace. Instead, her ingenuity led her to repurpose a padlock she found in her father’s bag, unknowingly setting the foundation for what would become her life's passion. She crafted it into a necklace—simple yet striking. When her best friend saw the piece, he was captivated, admiring both its design and the concept of reworking luxury into something accessible. He begged to buy it,
but Molly, attached to her new creation, couldn’t part with it.

However, she couldn’t ignore his enthusiasm, so she decided to craft a necklace just for him. It was a gesture of friendship that, tragically, gained deeper significance when her best friend unexpectedly passed away in February 2020 due to a heart condition.

Where Sentiment Meets Style and Sustainability

After the loss, Molly found solace in conversations with his mother. Reflecting on the necklace and its sentimental value, Molly was inspired to create a collection in his honor. She sourced 10 Louis Vuitton padlocks, crafting necklaces that carried not only beauty but also meaning. The campaign’s purpose was to raise funds for Sweden’s Heart and Lung Foundation, combining her art with a heartfelt mission.

The response was overwhelming. By the end of 2020, Molly had sold countless padlock necklaces, each piece symbolizing not just luxury but also connection and memory. Her journey didn’t stop there. She began treasure hunting, uncovering designer keychains, buttons, sunglasses, and belts—often forgotten or overlooked items with untapped potential.
