Return Policy for Reworked Treasures

At Reworked Treasures, we strive to ensure customer satisfaction while adhering to Swedish consumer laws (Konsumentköplagen and Distansavtalslagen). Below are our policies and procedures for returns, in compliance with these regulations.

Right to Return

  • Customers have the right to return eligible items within 14 days of receiving their order, in accordance with Swedish/EU consumer laws.
  • Eligible items: Necklaces, bracelets & rings can be returned as they are worn directly on the skin.
  • Non-returnable items: Earrings fall under the hygiene clause, as they are inserted into closed wounds. These items cannot be returned for hygiene and health reasons.

Return Costs and Fees

  • The cost of return shipping is the responsibility of the customer.
  • 195 SEK/€17 refund fee will be deducted from the refund to cover the cost of sanitizing returned necklaces, ensuring they meet hygiene standards before being resold.

Steps to Process a Return

  1. Read the Policy: Ensure your item meets the return criteria (necklaces, bracelets & rings only, within 14 days of delivery).
  2. Contact Us: DM us on instagram with your order number and a description of the item you wish to return.
  3. Approval or Denial: We will review your request and inform you if your return is approved or denied based on the policy criteria.
  4. Instructions for Approved Returns: If approved, we will provide you with the following:
    • Return conditions (example, the item must be unworn, package must include order number).
    • Shipping address and instructions for the return.

Important Notes

  • Returns that are sent without prior approval will not be processed.
  • Package must include order number or we withhold the right to not refund.
  • Refunds are issued after the item has been received and inspected by our team.

However, as our items are handmade and not crafted from machine durable or fine materials, such as solid gold or white gold, we adhere to the following reclamation guidelines in compliance with Swedish and EU consumer laws.

Reclamation Guidelines

  • Fragile Nature of Jewelry: Jewelry is classified as fragile under Swedish and EU law, and any claims of defects must be proven and documented as a production fault on our part, rather than due to improper care or use by the customer.
  • Material Limitations:
    • Tarnishing, loss of color, or natural wear and tear are not eligible for reclamation, as we do not guarantee the longevity of materials.
    • Our products are not made with fine or durable materials, and this is clearly communicated at the time of purchase.
  • Documentation Required: Customers must provide clear documentation (e.g., photos and descriptions) showing that the issue is due to a production fault. Claims without sufficient evidence cannot be approved.

Repair Policy

If an item breaks within three months of purchase, it may not fall under reclamation but is instead eligible for our repair service:

  • Repair Service Details:
    • We can rework, refurbish, or fix the item for a service fee of 295 SEK.
    • This service includes shipping the repaired item back to you free of charge.
  • How to Initiate a Repair Request:
    1. Send us a direct message on Instagram with the subject “Repair Inquiry.”
    2. Include your order number and clear photos of the item showing the issue.
    3. We will review your request and provide feedback within 72 hours.
  • Timeline for Repairs:
    • Upon approval, repairs will be completed within 7 business days of receiving the item.

Important Notes

  • Reclamations not clearly documented or not meeting the criteria above will be denied.
  • Repair requests that fall outside the three-month timeframe or show evidence of misuse may not be accepted.
